Instructions

Having installed the demo, start ScanToPDF from within the test folder and use

ScanToPDF > Edit > Preferences > Plugins > General optionsbr />
to set the Scan From File options and point to the sample images contained within C:\Program Files\O Imaging Corporation\ScanToPDF-Bookmark\Images

We would also recommend setting the ScanToPDF > Edit > Preferences > Viewer Preferences > Display Mode to "The document outline is..." - this will display the bookmarks when the PDF is opened.

The sample images contain barcoded bookmark control pages (chapter 1, section 1, section 2, etc.).

The configuration of the bookmark settings is defined in
ScanToPDF > Edit > Preferences > Plugins > FileNamerDemo.dll > Options > Bookmarking .

The Barcode Regex setting says that if we encounter a barcode starting with BM-C then we have found a bookmark control page.
The Assignment "chapter={Extract(%barcode%,C,2)}" extracts the chapter number from the barcode value - e.g. from BM-C2, "chapter" is set to "2"

The Bookmark title will then be set as "Chapter 2" And the bookmark path controls how the bookmark tree is built.
